Traffic control at the croisement de Ngor, North of Dakar.
The guardians of proper traffic in Dakar outskirts apparently need a kalashnikov to insure real respect of the regulations all good drivers should follow. How does that work? Do you shoot down the disrepectful taximan who just overtook a large jeep from the right-hand side?? Aim for the tyres when the Ndiaga Ndiaye bus’ insurance is out of date? Even if it’s for OCI Security reasons (I’m sorry, it haunts me, it really does)… nope. It still doesn’t make sense!
