As a break from the rice I’ve been eating for the past few days, washed down with coke, due to some unknown bug I have caught (again…!) we spend a Saturday afternoon making a chocolate cake with the Sene girls. The recipe says that it should not be “overmixed”, but if we’re all going to participate it’s just going to have to be slightly overly well mixed! Whilst the eldest mix the cake, the little ones break up the chocolate pieces (or, in Aya’s case, puts them straight into her sticky mouth). Then we all drink purple fizzy Vimto, and “Eésprite” with the bite-sized pieces of cake. It would’ve been nice to keep some for Malick, but Aya devours most of it, and Salamba and Fassar lick up the remaining crumbs. Ah well, maybe next time.
