A day out of the office

And of course, as usual, I forget to set up the out of office message, but never mind, a whole day with no banging and dust and plaster! And no people walking in and out of the place where I work, checking electric cables with their tongue, and sanding down the scrapes they made on the wooden doors when manoeuvring a table through the door, by the simple expedient of “if we push enough, it will fit”. No it won’t. Aha. Too late.

I spend the day working on ECOWAS free movement of persons and drinking buckets of tea to counteract the frustration of there not being any statistics more recent than 1992. Ah well, that’s only 16 years ago, Alhamdullilah. I wonder how I can insert that in a footnote though…
